Technical Support Engineer (Medior) DACH & Global
Location: Remote (Strong preference for candidates residing within the DACH/NL region)
At Founda Health, we are bridging gaps in digital health by building scalable, cloud-native infrastructure. We are looking for a Medior Technical Support Engineer who possesses a "detective" mindset—someone who is naturally driven to investigate the "why" behind every system behavior.
The Role: Local Expert, Global Impact
While you will eventually take ownership of the technical success within the DACH region, you are part of a Global Support Engineering team. You will collaborate with international colleagues to support our customer base while acting as the technical linchpin for our German-speaking markets.
Because you will be working closely with our German Sales and Professional Services (PS) teams, we have a strong preference for a candidate living within the DACH region or in The Netherlands (our head office is located in Amsterdam). We believe being "where the action happens" allows for better collaboration and faster response times for our local partners.
We are not looking for a passive recipient of tasks. We're looking for someone with a curious mind, who thrives in complex healthcare systems, is direct in communication, and is energized by working closely with others. We value the person who asks the "difficult" questions early to prevent major incidents later.
What You’ll Do
Technical Investigation: Use remote access tools and network diagnostics to identify root causes. You won't just "reset" things; you will find out why they broke.
Incident Management: Own the lifecycle of a ticket within our ticketing system, ensuring clear documentation and timely communication.
Cross-Platform Troubleshooting: Resolve complex incidents across Linux (command line) and Windows environments.
Strategic Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with local Sales and PS teams to ensure technical alignment during deployments and customer onboarding.
Global Support Rotation: Participate in our global support structure, assisting international customers and sharing knowledge with the wider team.
What You Bring (non-negotiables)
Curiosity: A strong sense of curiosity is essential to succeed in this role. You must have an inherent need to understand how things work. We place equal value on the ability to ask thoughtful questions as we do on delivering accurate and effective solutions.
Linux & Windows Proficiency: You have proven experience with the Linux prompt (log analysis, bash) and navigating Windows Server environments.
Networking & Remote Access: Strong understanding of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls) and experience with Remote Access tools (VPN, RDP, SSH).
Linguistic Mastery: Native or near-native German fluency. You must be capable of conducting high-level technical discussions in Technical German. Professional English is required for internal global collaboration.
DACH Residency: Strong preference for candidates based in the DACH region or the Netherlands.
Cloud Awareness: Experience with (or a deep desire to master) Kubernetes and AWS.
