Are you an experienced Product Manager available on short notice? Founda Health is looking for a freelance professional to join our team for an interim period of 6 to 7 months.

In this role, you play a critical role in translating the product strategy into value we bring to our customers. You bridge the gap between high-level product vision and low-level engineering reality. Your mission is to ensure our healthcare data availability platform is not only feature-rich but also secure, scalable, and compliant with global interoperability standards.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will work side-by-side with Engineering and customer-facing teams to build and deliver the digital infrastructure that connects healthcare providers and applications worldwide. You thrive in a technical environment and know how to balance innovation with the strict requirements of the healthcare industry.

Assignment Details

• Contract: Freelance / Interim (ZZP).

• Registration: Must be registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK).

• Availability: Per March 2026 for 32–40 hours per week.

• Language: Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

• Location: While we operate remote-first, we are looking for a candidate who is able to visit our office in Amsterdam occasionally for key meetings and team alignment, and visit our customers in the Netherlands when needed. 

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Strategy: Lead Founda’s Shape Up cycles by transforming product vision into detailed, technically viable epics and proposals that are ready for engineering execution.

• Build for Scale: Collaborate closely with Engineering to prioritize infrastructure improvements and core components, balancing new feature development with platform performance and stability.

• Standards & Security: Ensure every new capability is secure by design and fully compliant with global healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM, IHE) and regulations.

• The Translation Layer: Act as the primary bridge between technical and commercial teams; you translate complex API capabilities for stakeholders and business needs into technical specs for developers.

• Customer-Centric Delivery: Discover and validate solutions with key customers throughout the development cycle and manage the full launch process, from GTM strategy to deployment and handover.

• Product Design & Validation: Partner with UX/UI design to translate complex API and data capabilities into intuitive, user-friendly platform interfaces, driving user research and design validation efforts.

• Innovation: Stay ahead of interoperability trends and advocate for technical best practices or new technologies that maintain our platform’s competitive edge.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 4+ years in Product Management, specifically within software/SaaS platform development or interoperability solutions.

• Technical Background: You have a background in technically complex products, including cyber security constraints, cloud deployments, and rich APIs.

• Healthcare Knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare data exchange (FHIR, HL7, IHE) is a significant advantage. You are familiar with the US and/or EU healthcare markets.

• Strategic & Pragmatic: You can think big, but you are also disciplined in prioritization. You know how to make trade-offs between speed, quality, and scope.

• Communication: You are an exceptional communicator who can influence stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, Professional Services, and Support.

• Language Skills: You speak Dutch and English fluently. German language skills are a strong advantage.
